“My dachshund is very picky but these were a big hit! She’s literally sniffing around looking for another one right now.”
“I bought it as a food topper, as he is on a venison diet, and he will not eat without something he likes mixed in. 5 stars because our dog loves them.”
“These don’t just smell like fish — they smell straight-up rotten. Simply opening the bag made my entire house reek. 2 of my 3 dogs wouldn’t eat them at all.”
Pup Choice replied — this is real and we left it up. Freeze-dried salmon smells like salmon, a lot. Most dogs treat that as the best news of the day; Kay’s two didn’t. It is exactly why the turkey bag exists, and why this deal lets you take one of each.

Why dogs go for it
It passes
the smell test.
A dog decides with its nose before anything reaches its mouth. A picky dog is usually a dog whose bowl doesn’t smell like anything worth the effort. Raw meat, frozen and dried at low temperature, keeps the smell of the real thing — nothing cooked off, nothing added back. And with this few ingredients, there is nothing in the way of it.
Turkey meat, liver and heart, with pumpkin, sweet potato and cranberry — the two things people reach for when a stomach is off. 30% protein.
Wild salmon and sweet potato, plus mixed tocopherols (preservative). 43% protein, 3% omega-3, and a smell that reaches the dog from across the kitchen.
Crumble five over dinner and you’ve added ten to fifteen calories. A tablespoon of gravy adds more, and nobody measures it.
Resealable bag on the counter. Crumbles between two fingers. No pouch to squeeze, no spoon to wash.

Ingredients: wild salmon, sweet potato, mixed tocopherols (preservative). Fair warning from the reviews: it smells strongly of fish. Dogs consider this the point.
Which one for a picky dog?Start with turkey. It is the milder smell for you and the one reviewers most often describe as an instant yes. Salmon is the higher-protein, higher-omega bag and the one owners of itchy, dull-coated dogs tend to pick. With the deal you can take one of each and let the dog vote.
Poultry or fish allergyThen pick the other bag — that is the whole point of one protein per bag. If your dog reacts to both, email woof@pupchoice.com and we’ll tell you honestly whether we make anything that suits, including if the answer is nothing yet.
One protein per bag, and you just read both labels.
Why this page exists
Blizzard stopped eating.
This is what he’d eat.
Blizzard is our founder’s dog — an adopted Maltese mix, somewhere around seven or eight. This year he developed a neurological problem the vets haven’t been able to name. He went off his food almost completely.
The one thing he would take was Turkey Day Treats, crumbled over the plate with a splash of hot water so he could manage it. That is the whole video: no script, one take, a sick dog finishing his plate.
To be clear: these are treats and toppers, not a diet, and they don’t treat anything. Blizzard is under veterinary care. We’re showing it because if your dog has gone off food, this is the honest version of what a topper can and can’t do.

The obvious question
Why not just put
something on the kibble?
You can, and most people already have. The thing you sprinkle on top is what gets the bowl eaten, so this comes down to what else comes with it and whether you’ll still be doing it in a month.
Gravy, wet food, cheese, chicken
- Works — as long as you keep buying, cooking or grating it
- Salt, sugar or fat you didn’t plan on, in amounts nobody measures
- Opened pouch in the fridge, chicken to cook, cheese to grate
- Usually a second protein on top of whatever is in the kibble
A few freeze-dried pieces
- Real meat smell on the food, which is what the dog was missing
- 2–3 kcal a piece — you know exactly what you added
- Bag lives on the counter; crumble with two fingers, done
- One protein, and it’s the same one in the bite you use as a reward
The topper that survives week three is the one that takes two fingers and no fridge.

Three jobs, one bag
Topper. Training.
Good dog.
The pieces are about half an inch — already training size. The same bag does the bowl at dinner, the pocketful for practice, and the “good dog” at the door.
Crumble a few pieces between your fingers over the food. Some owners add a splash of warm water — one reviewer says her dogs “pounce on it.”
Already the right size — no cutting. Quick to grab, gone in a second, and at 2–3 kcal a whole session doesn’t add up to much. Reviewers use them for recall and in snuffle mats.
Crunchy, light, real meat. The kind of “one more” you can actually say yes to.
How many a day? The bag’s own limits, by dog size
These are the maximums printed on the back of the bag — about 10% of a day’s calories. As a topper you’ll use a fraction of this. Start small and adjust.
| DOG | MAX TREATS A DAY | TWO BAGS LAST AT LEAST |
|---|---|---|
| Extra small · 5–10 lb | up to 10 | 60 days |
| Small · 10–30 lb | up to 25 | 24 days |
| Medium · 30–60 lb | up to 45 | 13 days |
| Large · over 60 lb | up to 65 | 9 days |
“At least” because that column assumes you feed the maximum every day. Used as a topper — a few pieces a meal — two bags go a lot further. Treats and toppers, not a meal: the bag says intermittent or supplemental feeding. Always fresh water alongside, and if your dog is on medication, check with your vet first; that’s true of any new food.

The questions people email us.
How does the two-for-one work?
Pick two Turkey Day, two Wild Catch, or one of each above. Both bags go in your cart and the second one comes off automatically at checkout — there is no code to type. It needs both bags in the cart; one bag on its own is full price.
Is this the same as buying on Amazon?
Same bags, same deal. Buying here, the discount is automatic, shipping is free, and you deal with us directly for anything after — the 90-day guarantee is one email to woof@pupchoice.com.
Shipping?
Free on this offer, from our US warehouse, usually 3–5 business days. You get a tracking email the moment it ships.
What if my dog won’t eat them?
Email woof@pupchoice.com with your order number inside 90 days and we refund you. Keep the bags, give them to a neighbour’s dog. Most picky dogs take turkey first; if yours turned down salmon, that is the one to try.
Puppies? Seniors?
The bag says all life stages. The pieces are small and light enough for small mouths, and reviewers with senior dogs — including one with no teeth — say they manage them fine. If your dog is on medication or has a diagnosed condition, ask your vet before adding anything new.
Does it smell?
Turkey: mildly meaty, most people don’t mind. Salmon: yes, strongly. Several reviewers wash their hands after handling the salmon bag. Dogs see this as a feature. If you’re sensitive to fish smell, take two turkey.
How should I store it?
Resealed, on the counter or in a cupboard. No refrigeration. The bag carries a best-by date about two years out; some crumbs at the bottom are normal for freeze-dried and go straight onto the bowl.
Will this replace my dog’s food?
No — and the bag says so. It’s a treat and topper for intermittent, supplemental feeding. The job is to get a complete food eaten, not to be the food.
